Reverting permissions in -etc to redhat defaults

Try this:
# find /etc -type f -exec rpm -qf {} \; | sort | uniq | grep -v "not owned"
> /tmp/etc.packages
# for rpm in `cat /tmp/etc.packages`; do echo $rpm; rpm --verify $rpm | grep
/etc; done

Will let you see what has changed in /etc from the way the RPM has specified
it. This will generate output like what is at the end of this message: You
want to look of U's (user), G's(group) . M's (mode) (I think)

(for example: snmp/snmpd.conf)
[root at ikelite etc]# rpm -qlv net-snmp | grep snmpd.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 18579 Aug 15 2006
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 14701 Aug 15 2006
/usr/share/man/man5/snmpd.conf.5.gz
[root at ikelite etc]# ls -l snmp/snmpd.conf
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 287 Dec 22 14:28 snmp/snmpd.conf

This means that Rocks (or administrator) has changed the permissions.
If you look in
snmp-server.xml in /home/install/rocks-dist/lan/..../build/nodes you will
see where we overwrite this file with a particular
customization.
